Anytime Mailbox alternative
The short answer
Anytime Mailbox charges the operator $4 or $6.50 per active mailbox each month, adds a 5% management fee and a tiered software subscription, and as merchant of record deposits your share monthly net of those fees. The alternative is a platform you own: a flat per-customer platform fee, prices you set, and payments into your own Stripe account.
Anytime Mailbox is two things at once: a consumer network that brings customers to partner locations, and a hosted operator platform with a branded portal and configurable plans. Its operator billing is published in its own knowledge base, which makes the model easy to lay out.
Each piece is reasonable on its own, and for a store that wants customer acquisition bundled with software, the network fee buys something real. The point to notice is that all three charges grow with the business. More boxes means a higher per-box total, more revenue means a bigger 5%, and crossing 20, 60, or 150 boxes steps up the subscription.
Take a store with 100 active mailboxes, each on a $20 monthly plan and each spending about $4 a month on scans and forwarding. That is $2,400 collected each month. Under the published schedule, the per-mailbox fee is $400 if every customer is one you brought yourself and $650 if every customer came through the network. The 5% management fee on $2,400 is $120. At 100 boxes the software tier is $44.99.
Added together, the operator's platform cost lands between roughly $565 and $815 per month, depending on where the customers came from, and the store receives the remainder as a monthly deposit. A real store will sit somewhere in between, with a mix of its own and network-sourced customers.
Innbocks charges a flat platform fee per active customer with no percentage and no tier, and customer payments settle into your own Stripe account rather than arriving as a deposit. Anytime Mailbox's operator product includes a branded portal, and for many stores that is enough branding. The distinction is where the portal lives: on Anytime Mailbox's platform, hosted under its account, with customer payments flowing through it as merchant of record. Your name is on the page; the page and the payment rail are the platform's.
Innbocks puts the portal on your own subdomain or custom domain and sends every email and text under your store's name. Cards are charged into your own Stripe account through Stripe Connect. Form 1583 records, both IDs, expiration dates, the Prepare for CRD ledger, and a tamper-evident chain of custody sit in your account, and all of it exports if you ever leave.
Because your street address and box numbers are yours, moving is a records exercise rather than a rebuild. Bulk import brings the boxholder list into Innbocks. Mailbox number pools keep existing box numbers or assign new ones. Each customer completes Form 1583 from a photo of their ID and notarizes it online from home, and you approve from the dashboard.

Switching from Anytime Mailbox
Day-one changes, migration steps in order, and a customer email you can send.
The two platforms do not interact, so nothing stops you from running them side by side. A common pattern is to start every new walk-in and web sign-up on your Innbocks-powered brand while existing Anytime Mailbox boxes run to their renewal, then offer each of those customers a box on your own brand as the date comes up.
Two things to watch during the overlap. First, your Anytime Mailbox software tier is set by mailbox count, so moving boxes off the platform may drop you into a cheaper tier before you finish. Second, every customer you move needs a Form 1583 approved in your Innbocks account before you switch their mail handling, since that is the record USPS will ask you for.
